Barrio Latino

Near the Place of the Bastille, we decided to eat at the Barrio Latino for lunch before continuing onward with our walk from the Marais to Bercy with Vincent. The Barrio Latino is a classy four-floor restaurant, decorated with bright warm hues of reds and yellows. All of us remarked on the different vibe of the atmosphere. The festive and somewhat exotic ambiance was different from all other restaurants we had been to so far.

The restaurant offered Hispanic/Spanish dishes such as Brazilian feijoada and Argentine steaks, like the Bife de Ocho. I chose to have Picadillo, a Spanish dish with beef, plantains, and rice, with tapas for dessert. Yum! I could imagine the place being a hot spot at night.(-Carmel)
