Would you like to spend two weeks in Paris during IAP?
MIT’s Foreign Languages and Literatures invites undergraduates to apply for the January Scholars in France. Ten students will be selected to experience two weeks of tutored immersion in the cultural life of Paris, January 7-22, 2014. Airfare, lodging, guided tours, and field trips costs are covered by MIT.
Applications are open to MIT undergraduates who have completed French IV or above at MIT. The award will be based on a demonstrated commitment to French Studies at MIT. Preference will be given to French minors and concentrators. Please note that this year’s January Scholars trip is an award. It is NOT an IAP subject. There’s no credit, no final grade.
Apply by October 11, 2013
Submit application by email to email@example.com or bring to Foreign Languages & Literatures, 14N-305.
Spend two weeks in the heart of Paris! Listen to an organ concert in a 16th century church, visit the studio of fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent, take a cooking lesson with a pastry chef, learn about arts décoratifs at a Cartier exhibition, enjoy a gourmet dinner while listening to opera, visit the Louvre, Orsay, and Versailles. MIT French instructor Sabine Levet and Paris-based tour guides will lead your explorations. You will discover both famous landmarks and hidden treasures.
