La Villette is a vast, futuristic park split by the Canal de l'Ourcq. Marked by modern buildings, the grounds house the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, the Cité de la Musique, and the Géode, a giant sphere containing a 360- degree movie screen. Far from the historical center of the city, this urban park represents the innovative vision with which Paris will advance.

Walking around La Villette, you forget that you are in Paris. The traditional images that have come to symbolize the capital are nowhere to be seen. Instead, you find structures characterized by their contemporary nature.
