Hoping to taste the difference between American and French Asian food, we found a Vietnamese restaurant near the boulevard Saint-Michel. A couple of us had the crêpe vietnamienne, stuffed with beef, shrimp, mushrooms, and bean sprouts. It was the ideal fusion of the two tastes, and was delicious. The difference between the two variations of Asian food, American and French, is difficult to pin down. Something in the flavor of the sauce, perhaps, or maybe the taste and quality of the raw materals?
